I discovered a quick and easy way to add a bit of security to my apartment. It's something even the most novice handiperson can install on their own, with a screwdriver and drill. With two metal plates, one on the door and one on the frame, it provides a guard to prevent someone from prying open your door at the location of the deadbolts or latch. I would recommend everyone get one of these devices! In fact, if you want help installing it, let me know! I did it in about a half hour.
