All this vacation time has really gotten me thinking of my pet peeves. Call me cynical, call me impatient, but I have become very aware of these things in the last week. Maybe the time off has allowed me to pay more attention to my surroundings. Some of these may be repeats from past posts, but I like to have them all tidy in one list:
1.) Text messages that say "hi," and that's it.
2.) Mass holiday greetings (i.e. via text message).
3.) Idiot drunks who repeat the same thing over and over again (like the 10 minute conversation I had with a guy at the bar regarding my 180s earmuffs)
4.) People who throw up on the subway (like the girl last night who I saw throwing up into her boot, while her boyfriend took pictures from every angle)
5.) Bigotry (I can't even begin to tell you how often I encounter this, or how much I despise it)
6.) People sending retarded mass emails (especially politically themed ones)
7.) People who idiotically think public transit is only for poor people (hello!), and are too good for it.
8.) When people weave all over the sidewalk while you are trying your damndest to pass them (keep it in one lane!!)
9.) When people are not on time. Because I always am, and then some.
10.) When people don't pick up their dog poo from the street.
I think that about sums the biggest pet peeves up. If I think of more, I will post another installment at a later date :)

So with you on those last two! I'm always on time, usually early, and I can't stand it when people are late. Also, in my neighborhood, everyone is a pig and there is dog shit all over the sidewalk. Next time I see someone not pick up their dog's shit, I'm going to take their pic with my phone and threaten to call the cops if they don't pick it up. Drastic? Perhaps. But they must learn!
So you didn't ask for reader opinions but I'm going to give you mine anyway:
-people who talk on their cell phone when you are in confined spaces
-store bought desserts on the menu at restaurants
-people braking for no good reason when driving down the road
-do loud noises count? i highly dislike loud noises
I agree on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Oh and why dont you add Number 11 ..... People who write long winded comments and say things like "I agree on #'s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10." instead of just saying "I agree on every one but #3"

YES! People suck. I also hate people who use "umm" too much as their pause word.
